My favorite San Francisco walks
The Camino Del Mar Trail
The trail starts at Fort Miley in Lincoln Park and offers a balcony-view over the Golden Gate.

The trail emerges from the densely wooded area of Lincoln Park. The Palace of Legion of Honor is right behind us.

This area is called Seal Rocks. It marks the location of two notorious shipwrecks: the Lyman Stewart in 1922 and the Frank Buck in 1933.
From the terrace facing the Palace of Legion of Honor we overlook the Presidio Park Golf Course and the Richmond District.

The trail snakes through the Presidio Golf Course...

...and emerges into Sea Cliff.

Camino Del Mar enters Presidio Park and becomes Lincoln Avenue. We'll go right at the first intersection.

Lobos Creek Valley stretches along the wooded hill of Presidio Park to the US Public Health Hospital, barely visible in the distance.

The trail follows the wooded ridge on the left.
On the right are the houses bordering the north side of Lake Street.

Looking back over Lobos Creek Valley toward Sea Cliff, Lincoln Park, and the Pacific Ocean.
